1999 UO Lindholm Visiting Professor

        The University of Oregon Department of Russian is honored to
announce that the Marjorie Lindholm Visiting Professor for spring term 1999
will be Catherine Chvany, Professor of Russian Studies (emerita),
Massachusetts Institute of Technology. The Lindholm Visiting Professorship
is awarded annually to a distinguished scholar in the area of Russian
language, literature, and culture.
