A plug for CDs:
When contacting people about offering recordings, we should encourage CDs,
I think. As a teaching tool they are much easier to use than tapes (as
long as you have a CD player), because you can keep track of the exact
position of a passage on the CD and go right to it. Moreover, the sound
quality and durability are higher. In any event, one can always make a
good tape from a CD, but tape to tape recordings are often worse than the
original. The only drawback is the business's outlay to make the CDs in
the first place, but this cost continues to shrink.
