CALL FOR PAPERS:

AFRICAN-AMERICAN
LITERARY TIES TO RUSSIA

Please submit title and one-page abstract addressing
the literary and intellectual dialogue between
African-Americans and Russians.

Possible topics include:  African–Americans in Russia;
Russian Thought and the Black Intellectual;
African-American Experience in the Early Communist
Party; Russian Views on African America

Deadline: May 15, 2000

The 2000 South Atlantic MLA Conference will be held
