"Why Study Russian?"

Dear friends:

Hope you enjoy the new opening section of my Index called "The Why",
that is, "Why Study Russian?" So far, I have managed to find 35
responses, mostly from university departments, some from individual
faculty members and a few from students. If you would like to contribute
a response, your own, your university's or your students, let me know.
I'll be glad to add it.
