"Zatovarennaya Bochkotara", an early novel by Vasiliy Aksyonov (Василий Аксенов,
"Затоваренная бочкотара") seems to have been influenced by Joyce in its style. It
contains the most fascinating "stream-of-consciousness" passages ever written in
the Russian language.
