18th Conference on Baltic Studies (Association for the Advancement of
Baltic Studies). 5-8 June, 2002, Johns Hopkins University (Homewood
Campus), Baltimore, Maryland.  Theme:  The Baltic States in the Era of
Globalization.  Panels include Aesthetics, Culture, & Communication;
Business and Economics; Democratic Reform; Geography & Earth Sciences;
History; Linguistics; Literature; Political Science; Psychology &
Education; and Religion.  The Conference program committee invites
proposals for panels or individual papers on all topics related to
Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, as well as the broader Baltic Sea region.
