Dear SEELangers,

In my post of November 11, I requested your thoughts and
ideas on how our list guidelines could be modified to
meet your needs and asked that anyone wishing to respond
do so by December 1 (today).  I also indicated that my hope
was to have this issue resolved one way or the other by the
end of the year.

Please know that I intend to address the messages some of
you sent me in my forthcoming post to the list about it,
though I'm unable to respond individually to everyone right
now.  Also, I beg your indulgence, as I am extremely busy
this month and probably will not have time to compose that
post until near the end of December.

Finally, the SEELANGS Web site is down, a victim of the
Excite at Home bankruptcy.  This is a temporary situation that
will (hopefully) last no longer than a couple of weeks.
The banner message appended to the bottom of each post (and
the top of Digest messages) has been changed to reflect this
news and to alert everyone who will not read this message.

I'll let you know when it's back up, both so you'll know where
to go when you need it and so that those of you operating
Web sites that link to it can update your links.
