SLAVIC LANGUAGE COORDINATOR
Pending funding approval, the Department of Slavic Languages and
literatures of Indiana University seeks a Slavic language coordinator
(lecturer), beginning fall 2002. This is a full-time position, with
benefits, with the option for long-term contracts. Full functional fluency
in English and Russian (knowledge of other Slavic languages a plus),
significant foreign-language teaching experience at a North American
college/university, and familiarity with US university culture, are
required. Responsibilities include: oversight and training of associate
instructors, development and promotion of departmental Russian- and
Slavic-language programs, teaching Russian language and structure courses
at a variety of levels, service to department and allied units.
