AATSEEL (changing of the guard)

The AATSEEL Executive Council is pleased to announce that Dr. Kathleen
Dillon 
will be taking over as Executive Director of AATSEEL as of July 1, 2002.  
Dr. Dillon created and ran the Russian program at Polytechnic School, 
Pasadena  CA. In 2000, she received the AATSEEL teaching excellence award. 
She has served several terms on the AATSEEL Executive Council, as well as
on 
the Board of Directors of the American Council of Teachers of Russian. She
is 
currently the Associate Director of the University of California Consortium

for Language Learning and Teaching.

The Executive Council expresses its profound thanks to Dr. Jerry Ervin, who
has served 
and continues to serve AATSEEL with skill, good humor, and wisdom. Dr.
Ervin 
is working with Dr. Dillon to ensure a smooth transition.  Please join us
in 
welcoming Dr. Dillon and honoring Dr. Ervin's contribution.
