But, if memory serves, almost all of those killed were Russophone
immigrants and a number were originally from Ukraine. Thus, the
actual distinction is Israeli citizens vs the one non-citizen. There
is nothing here for "Ukrainians" to take offense, except imprecise
writing.
The whole thing is a too sad for intellectual parsing, anyway.
