Dear all: In regard to David Maxwell, Drake University, and the
Chronicle's coverage, I'm not sure what Pat had in mind when she
referred to him, but you all should know that the Chronicle's coverage
was inadequate, and that David's decision to abolish the language dept.
there was done because of the specific circumstances at Drake and was
not intended to serve as a general model!!! I discussed this with David,
so this is not hearsay. Cheers all, Emily Tall
