Russian literature question

Dear colleagues,
May I ask your help in finding a scene from Russian literature?
A Greek fisherman is singing and crying, and somebody asks him
why. He translates his song something like this: "Byla ptitsa,
uletela daleko-daleko. Po-russki vrode by nichego, a
po-grecheski ochen' pechal'no."
Where is this from?
