Marxists and the West

Mr. Murley's most recent posting reminded me of the Dovlatov story
about the Marxist Jew in the Soviet Union.  He wanted to attend a
conference in Bulgaria on Marxist thought or some such.  Couldn't get
an exit visa, though (he was a Jew).  So, he emmigrates to New York
City to practice Marxism in freedom.

Isn't life grand?
