Thanks for your message.  I fully understand.  I'll just add that I shall be
working on Gogol during the summer anyway; if there are cancellations, I'll
be very happy to be called on at the last minute.

May I become a member of the Neo-Formalists?  Can you tell me how to set
about joining?

When is the second Platonov volume due?  I would like 3 copies please -- for
myself, for a friend and for Maria Platonova; I will be very grateful if you
can give me the copy for Platonova free of charge, as with the other volume.

I would also like to buy one more copy of the first volume.  There is no
hurry -- so please send them all together.
