To everyone who helped me find the english translation of MASTER I
MARMELADOV: thank you! Woland's adventures among American slavists are most
amusing, and the information the book presents about Dostoevskii is
fascinating. I especially liked the part about "how Professor Ikota voted".
(Woland becomes interim Dean of Humanity at an American college, and then
follows a diabolically orchestrated expose of all the figli-migli at the
college... The English translation is called HOGTOWN: A GOTHIC TALE ABOUT
POLITICAL CORRECTNESS AND OTHER VIRTUES.) I highly recommend this novel to
anyone who loves Bulgakov and/or Dostoevsky.
