I would like to urge everyone who is concerned with the aftermath of the
floods in the Czech Republic, both the human suffering and the
threat to the existence of many Czech cultural treasures, to consider
making a donation in support of relief and reconstruction there.

For this purpose an account has been opened by the American Friends of the
Czech Republic in cooperation with the Czech Embassy in
Washington. Tax-deductible contributions can be made by writing a check to
