Dear Janice,
Thank you so much for your help. I didn't expect to have a final answer so
soon. And I didn't expect to have such a thorough and meticulous investigation
of this matter either.

Since I have an answer to the copyright problem, I think I should now research
the history of the text itself and question of the mysterious French and
Russian (and Czech and Yiddish) translators...
