abbreviation "т."

Hello all,

I am looking at a letter written in 1978 by an adult Russian to his aunt.
He addresses her at the very beginning of the letter as "Уважаемая т. Люда!"
("Uvazhaemaia t. Liuda!").

Does the "т." ("t.") here stand for "товарищ" ("tovarishch") or "тётя"
("tetia").
