question about handhelds/smartphones and Cyrillic

A question about Blackberrys, Treos, etc.:

Has anyone had experience using them in Russia / in Russian?  I assume the
phone part would work fine, but what about the keyboard-related functions?
Since they do allow actual typing of actual email messages, I thought I'd
check.
