Loren Billings' example "Kto beremenen?" recalls an anecdote that Roman
Jakobson used to tell about a Russian lexicographer who insisted that
that adjective belonged to the category feminina tantum since (I quote
an approximation of what I heard some 40 years ago) "poniatie
beremennogo muzhchiny nemyslimo."  His argument, as Roman Osipovich
pointed out, disproved his contention.
