Dear Colleagues:
Columbia University's Russian Practicum (June 6 - July 1 and July 5 - August
1, 2005) offers three intensive courses in Russian language (beginning,
intermediate and advanced). Language courses accommodate undergraduate and
graduate students, high school students and working professionals, with a
variety of backgrounds and reasons for studying Russian. Students may earn
up to 8 credits in the full 8-week program.
We also offer literature and research courses that do not require previous
study of Russian, and are designed for undergraduate, graduate and high
school students. Courses offered: The Great Russian Novel (in English, 3
credits), War in Russian Literature and Cinema (in English, 3 credits), and
Working in the Russian Archives (in English, 2 credits).
Language and content courses may be taken individually or in any
combination.
The Russian Practicum welcomes applications from high school students.
