Lecturer in Russian Studies (Fixed-term)

Applications are invited for the above post.  The successful candidate will teach modules in Russian language and literature or culture for the Spring Semester 2005-2006 to replace Professor Wendy Rosslyn who will be on leave.  Candidates must have an excellent command of the written and spoken language and a BA or equivalent in Russian.  They must have experience of the UK Higher Education system, either as a student or as a lecturer.  It is desirable that candidates hold, or be nearing completion of, a PhD in Russian studies (literature, culture or history).  Training and/or experience in teaching will be an advantage.

Salary will be £24,352 per annum.  This post is available from 1 February 2006 and will be offered on a fixed-term contract until 16 June 2006.
