Russian short stories dealing with the theme of war

You will find TONS of stories about war in Russian/Soviet
literature. I would recommend Vikor Nekrasov, V okopakh
Stalingrada. Iurii Bondarev wrote quite a lot about war. There
are good stories by Mikhail Sholokhov...
