The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, seeks applicants for Head of its
Department of Modern Foreign Languages and Literatures. Applicants
should have scholarly and research credentials appropriate for
appointment at the rank of Professor. We seek an individual with a
distinguished record of research, excellent teaching, and relevant
administrative experience. The successful candidate will provide
leadership for a department with undergraduate and graduate programs.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively and
collaboratively with colleagues, staff, and students are especially
important.

approximately 35 tenured and tenure-track faculty members, plus 44
