Dear everyone,
     Before St. Patrick's Day I wrote various Russians
friends and colleagues about whether anyone celebrated
that holiday in Russia. Most said not but several pointed
out that in the Arbat area of Moscow people do hold a
parade. One person asked me for more information about
this Irish Saint. Could someone suggest a reliable and
perhaps somewhat scholarly account?
