AATSEEL Conference 2007: panel proposal question

I am trying to organize a panel for the upcoming AATSEEL conference, and
have run into the following problem:

Originally, the panel was supposed to feature two papers of the usual type
+ one given by two people collaboratively. These two people, however, now
wish to give a "double paper," that is, a paper of double length. Would
that be possible? If not, can you see any better solution?
