The Twelve

[Padunov, Vladimir]

There will be no subtitled DVD of Mikhalkov's "12" until after the commercial release of the film to theaters by Sony Picture Classics.  The film is scheduled for release to theaters for the summer of 2008.  Subtitled DVDs will be available three to six months afterwards.

SEELANGERS!

An update on my search for Mikhalkov's "12".  To date no one has been able to find a copy with subtitles.  The only copy available is a PAL version in Russian, which is great, unless you want to show the film to non-speakers of Russian!  In any case, as soon as I find out if there is a subtitled version, I'll post to the list.  And if someone else finds one, please let the list know, because many colleagues have written to ask that I let them know when I find a copy.  Thanks to everyone for your help and suggestions.
