perhaps you should point out some Russian cartoons, subtitled in English (I
know several are available on Youtube, for example Жил был пёс -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5au6UbfzXjQ<http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=73pjIQTGnic>).
There was a discussion about them on SEELANGS in December 2007, if I'm not
mistaken. As a learn-it-yourself student of Russian, I can tell you that I
love watching them: the storyline and the vocabulary aren't too complicated
and, well, they're fun. Kind regards,
