final call for papers at AAASS

Dear Jeanmarie,
John Randolph and I are trying to put together a panel on 18th and
19th cc Russian coachmen as purveyors of folk culture and are having
trouble finding another panelist. Would it make sense for us to
answer your call? If we do so, can we be assured that we will be
placed on a panel? (John teaches Russian History at Univ. of
Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, and I teach Russian literature at UC
Santa Cruz.) I am also interested in the phenomenon of
commercialization of folk culture, and would be willing to
participate in a panel devoted to that theme as a discussant or chair.
