AAASS panel on history and film

Dear SEELANGers,

I am organizing a panel on history and film in the Russo-Soviet context,
which will address the specific ways in which Soviet and Russian cinematic
culture has dealt with the Russian history. The issues will include modes of
projecting the golden age (either into the past or into the future), ways of
historicizing difficult or triumphant events as well as the return of the
repressed histories. We are still looking for one participant and the
discussant.
I know this is very last minute but if you would like to be part of what
promises to be a very exciting panel, it would be great!
