My wife Melanie in Krasnodar noticed everyone was saying "nichewo" instead of nichevo..

Subject: [SEELANGS] Question on Ukrainian v/w

I was perusing this cursory description of Ukrainian phonology:
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ukrainian_phonology>
and there doesn't seem to be any mention of [v].

Is this right? Ukrainian has no [v]~[f], only /ʋ/ = [ʋ]? E.g., вовк = [ʋoʋk]([wowk] for those who cannot read IPA)?

TIA.
