Foreign Language Difficulty Scale

Romance languages - Category I
German - category II
Slavic - category III
Arabic, Chinese, Japanese - catgory IV

This is the FSI listening I believe, but it is at variance with the National
Virtual Translation center's listing, which is limited to three categories.
