Google digitizing all books

I don't know if academics feel differently from me, but I write for a living
in the non-academic sector, and all I have is my intellectual copyright to
sell, so yes, I am claiming payment from Google if they ever feel compelled
to make my work freely available. And if anyone else does want to digitize
their own work, they can. I don't see why you would want Google to do that
for you without permission or consultation.
