Indiana University’s Summer workshop in Slavic, East European, and Central
Asian Languages (SWSEEL)
June 19-August 14, 2009
IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
We have just learned that the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS)
will fund the teaching of first year Slovene, Polish, and Czech in
addition to Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian, Macedonian, and Romanian. Tuition
for SWSEEL courses in these six languages will be waived for graduate
students specializing in East European studies in any discipline.
Due to the change in funding status for these languages, we are extending
the funding application deadline for Czech, Polish, and Slovene. The
application for these languages will reopen Monday March 30 and close on
April 13, 2009. Qualified graduate students applying for these language
courses by that date will receive ACLS funding and can compete for FLAS
fellowships.
