ASEEES Panel

Dear Colleagues,

We are in need of a chair and one presenter for our 2012 ASEEES panel "Embodiment and Russian Identity."  The panel will address the ways in which the body, broadly defined, has been implicated in negotiations of national identity in Russia.  

Paper topics tentatively include:

- The embodiment of masculine subjectivity in contemporary Russian popular culture
- Representations of feminine space in Soviet and post-Soviet film
