Russian Alphamagic and Alphapanmagic Square Work

Forgive my ignorance....I'm just curious of what benefit such an array is?
Like, will it lead to...

....? Creating some tangible thing, like a new computer program or
something? Or does it
somehow help us understand some ancient Russian texts or codes or something?
Or is it
more like art, to be appreciated for its own beauty?
