A.V Bardin - collector of folklore

Dear all,

In the anthology of Magic Tales I am compiling for Penguin Classics I am giving at least brief biographical data for all the folktale collectors whose work I am including.

But there is just one collector I've hardly been able to find anything about at all: А.V. BARDIN,
His Folklore of the Chkalov Province was published in 1940.

Does anyone know anything about him?  I'd be grateful even just for his dates of birth and death.
