New book on Russian Symbolist women writers
A new book has come out from the NLO publishing house in Moscow on
Russian Symbolist women writers. Creator, Subject, Woman: Strategies
of Women’s Writing in Russian Symbolism (Tvorets, subekt, zhenshchina)
is authored by Dr Kirsti Ekonen, University of Helsinki, Finland.
The book, in Russian, examines the construction of authorial
subjectivity in the writings of five Symbolist women writers: Zinaida
Gippius, Liudmila Vilkina, Poliksena Soloviova, Nina Petrovskaia and
Lidiia Zinovieva-Annibal.
