Dear SEELANGers,
I have a question that might seem naïve to some of you. I am preparing a
book manuscript for an American publisher, and wish to publish some
screenshots from Soviet films of the 1920s, 1960s-70s, and also from some
recent Russian ones. The question is, how to get permission? Who has
inherited Mosfilm and Lenfilm rights? Does it make sense to write to their
official addresses? What is the length (expiration) for these rights?
I would appreciate your help.
