Curiously, the Bol'shoj slovar' russkogo zhargon gives the collocation антикварный баян, but with meaning of 'total nonsense'.

Many thanks to all that replied. A боян/баян clearly isn't the same as a meme, since Russian sources may differentiate between the two ("Исследовательский интерес вызывают понятия, которые свойственны исключительно интернетовым текстам, например мем, боян и др."), so in an internet context it is evidently a repeated reposting (for which we don't seem to have a special word in English), or perhaps exactly the same as it is in the wider world, simply an old joke.
