Histories, memoirs, autobiography, fiction or film about the Soviet war in Afghanistan?

Hi Nicole --
I have a book called *Afghanistan: A Russian Soldier's Story* by Vladislav
Tamarov, you can find it on Amazon. It's mostly photo essay with some
commentary, based on photos Tamarov took himself when he was a nineteen
year old minesweeper in Afghanistan. Not sure it's what you're looking
for, but it's very authentic.
