ASEEES 2013: Theatricality and Revolution

Dear colleagues,

I am thinking of putting together a panel on "Theatricality and  
Revolution" for ASEEES 2013 in Boston.  I'm deliberately leaving the  
topic somewhat broad as it would be great to have papers that  
addressed it from complementary angles: e.g., examining the role of  
dramatic or theatrical elements in revolution itself  (be it the  
Russian Revolution or one of the more recent revolutions in Eastern  
Europe and Central Asia); or the dramatization of  revolution; or  
theatrical elements in the depiction of revolution in one or more of  
the non-dramatic arts.  If you would be interested in presenting on  
such a panel, or in serving as a chair or discussant, please contact
