Dear Colleagues,
In the beginning of Yuri Trifonov's 1950 novel *Studenty *the main
character, Vadim Belov, walks from the Red Square to the Tretyakov Gallery.
Belov is a Muscovite who is returning to the city after the war. This walk
allows him to take in the most iconic vistas and exalt the city's postwar
rebirth. There's more to it, of course, but I was wondering if you've seen
this particular walk through Moscow featured in any other (postwar) films
or literary texts.
I would be so grateful for any suggestions!
Best,
