ideological battles in contemporary Russia

Hello all,


We are reading Demons in my Russian Literature course and one of my
students asked me about ideological struggles that Russia is facing today.
 Could someone recommend a text on the subject (an article or a book) that
makes sense of what's happening in contemporary Russia.  Perhaps not
strictly a political analysis of the contemporary situation, but a cultural
or a philosophical one.
