Moskovskii komsomolets question

In a textbook on contemporary Russian culture, its author claims that
"Komsomolskaia Pravda" is a "mainstream newspaper" having a "balanced
perspective". That was not my impression reading KP, but perhaps I am
missing something.
Any thoughts?
