Oops, correcting myself, oblala couldn't originate in Dakotan.  It would
have to be oblaya, from blaya, which does correspond to (u)bdhadha.  Which
would call for much more reformulation (of oblaya) to produce oglala.  So,
I'm inclined to see Oglala as original in Dakotan and OP Ubdhaha as a
modification of the expected loan-form Ugdhadha.  In which case, the niN
ubdhadha's homophony with Ubdhadha may be a coincidence, or perhaps the
stream name is what motivates the switch from expected ?Ugdhadha to
Ubdhadha for the Oglala.
