Tribal ethnonyms

Noting the interest in tribal ethnonyms in recent postings I thought it
worthwhile to draw attention to the synonymies in the Handbook of North
American Indians, vol. 13, Plains.  This work was so long in preparation
that many Siouanists may not be aware that it was actually published last
October.  Doug Parks and Bob Rankin also have a chapter on Siouan in the
Plains volume.
