SCALC 2002 regrets

Dear All,
	I regret that I apparently will not be able to make this year's
meeting; it will be only the second one since the conference began that
I've missed, and I am sorry not to be able to catch up with all of you,
even if the papers are informal (they're supposed to be).  My problem is
personal -- too many family things for my wife to handle alone on that
weekend.
	I will be interested in hearing the reports of the meeting from
those of you who are there, and hope that this kind of conflict won't
reoccur next year.
