Tigers? Would this be jaguars or ocelots? Modern field guides list these
as barely intrusive into Texas near the mouth of the Rio Grande, though I
think this is somewhat out of date or maybe just wishful thinking. It
does allow an author to add a couple of interesting animals to the
coverage.
