Henning,
As I told you before, I attempt to teach five native languages here at
Pierre Indian Learning Center, I have five words for butterfly to share;
Arikara-saawiitakaa (final a should be accented)
Chippewa-mimaengwaen (Turtle Mountain written version, I am sure
pronunciation is the same)
Hochunk-mimike (NE version, I am sure the i's are nasalized)
Omaha-watininika (Ed Wolfe version, he has passed on)
Lakxota-kimimela (unaspirated k, so its like a soft g)
Dakoda have a different version, cause I heard it before, forgot it, sorry!
